About me

My name is Wali Khan and I am a Michigan-based journalist from Hong Kong & Singapore.

I founded an investigative publication in Singapore called The Parrot Review in 2020.

While fulfilling my duties as Editor-in-Chief, I lead investigations that exposed bureaucratic blockades in reporting sexual violence at Singapore’s largest university, civil rights violations perpertrated by police forces, and general corporate malfeasance.

I left Singapore shortly after the police notified me of an active investigation into me for my work, which appeared on VICE World News.

I am currently a Journalism student at Michigan State University, where I also investigated the February 2023 mass shooting for The Washington Post.
